An Incredible Journey in Product Design

My daughters just completed a 10-week Product Design Workshop, and I’m beyond impressed! This program took them through the full Design Thinking process—research, ideation, 3D modeling, prototyping, and final product development.

The Product Design class was an eye opener for my child. For the first time, he could see how an idea could come to fruition and that it is possible to design something he thinks could be useful to enhance everyday tasks. In the class he learned how to think critically to solve/enhance a problem/task. He then learned how to use the appropriate software tools to design the product and even its packaging. The designed is then printed out using a 3D printer. He then presents his idea together with the finished product to the parents.

This is a well-crafted program smartly designed to expose children to see, know and understand how they have power in their hands to design anything at all to assist in everyday living.

Thank you Expedio Design for this amazing program and the opportunity to be part of this class. It has definitely contributed an important element in my child’s skillsets.

I recently completed the 10-week Product Design & Engineering Program by XP | Edu, and I am extremely satisfied with the experience. The program was well-structured, covering key aspects of the design process in each lesson.

I like that the class is easy to follow along, and supportive when it comes to our ideas, and that if we don't understand how to do something we can ask Teacher Abigail and she'll help us.

We used Onshape to make the 3D models, and Canva for our presentation and packaging design. The modelling wasn't too difficult as most of what we needed to know was taught in the class, and Teacher Abigail would tell us individually if we needed to do something else while modelling.

I had learned the project engineering workflow and how to 3D model in Onshape, which I could apply to other creative processes (like art and games design) and software (like Blender or any other 3D modelling program). - Nadine Iman, 13 years old

We love that @xpedu_expedio has structured a comprehensive Product Design and Engineering program for youngsters.

The platform exposes them to a range of components that are crucial in the program from brainstorming ideas, 3D model, prototype design and creation, designing of the packaging and the final step was to showcase their products.

Miss Abigail is so wonderful with the kids as she guides them, provides feedback and also encourages them to incorporate their own ideas and style.

She is amazing at identifying each of her student’s strengths and capabilities, takes the time to understand each of their personalities and cater her teaching methods to their diverse learning abilities.

It was heartwarming to see the entire team being supportive towards each other especially during the showcase when nerves tend to take over. Each and every one of them did really well and we are honestly so proud of our own daughter, Nadine.

My 11-year-old daughter recently completed the product design and engineering program, and I couldn't be more impressed! The program is well-structured, taking the kids step-by-step from brainstorming creative ideas all the way to designing and building their own products. My daughter had the exposure of learning how to use the design software, and it was great to see her bring her own ideas to become the actual product.

What really stood out to me was the instructor, Abby. She was patient and kind with the children, fostering a truly supportive and encouraging learning environment. Abby even went above and beyond, helping my daughter outside of class time with the design challenges she was facing.

Seeing the joy on my daughter's face when she showed me the product she designed was heartwarming. This program has given her valuable exposure and experience in exploring her interest. I recommend this program to any parent looking to introduce their child to the world of product design and engineering.

It was great! Thank you for doing this for the children! While we totally never expose her to this side of world it is such great eye opener for Ranice that makes us think wild that one day you may come up with ideas like those investors reality show then all of us will get rich together.

As for Ranice she really loves the 3D printer and now she understand how important the precise measurement in making things most importantly she is so glad to have met the korkor jiejie making her learning so much fun and positive! She also mention that she keep asking teacher abi for help throughout even yesterday and today she still continue to explore the possibilities to what she had learned!
